When freezing rain occurs when precipitation falls as raindrops and immediately freezes as it hits most anything. Freezing rain doesn't hurt much, but you cant drive until it melts. Roads are covered with ice and so are cars, so you couldn't get in them anyhow. Since everything is covered in ice, you could slip and fall so it can harm people that way.
When freezing rain happens things gets a little messy. Your plans gets postponed and you will not be able to drive many places because of the roads. One things that I do like to see is the icicles though. Far as I know I have never experienced any freezing rain.
Freezing rain is rain that freezes into half ice half water. It is very uncomfortable to be in. It can not hurt anything except your plans. The roads can be messy and frozen which can postpown your plans. It can also harm you if you have an accident. The rain cant harm you, but your actions in it can. I dont think i have experienced it, but im not really sure.
Anytime you hear the term "mixed precipitation" on the news, you pretty much know they are talking about freezing rain. This is because freezing rain is sortof like a mix between rain and snow. Freezing rain forms when rain falls out of the clouds and it freezes in the air before it hits the ground. When this special rain hits the ground, it can be very dangerous because it makes the roads very slippery. This is how freezing rain can damage us by causing recks. I'm sure that I've been around freezing rain before, I just didn't realized that it was freezing rain.
I have never expirenced freezing rain before. Freezing rain is rain that falls onto a surface that is below freezing and it freezes on inpact. I don't think it hurts but you can't drive until it melts.
Whenever I hear freezing rain, they are usually talking about a mix of rain and either snow or hail. Freezing rain can't really hurt you, unless you're super sensitive, but most of the time it causes roads to ice over creating many problems with transportation.
Freezing Rain happens when precipitation falls in liquid form as raindrops and immediately freezes as it hits most any surface. This can occur as rain or snow falls through a deep layer of warm air aloft. However, I have experienced freezing rain before, and it's not pretty at all.
Freezing rain occurs when temperatures in clouds are greater than that on land. As rain falls it is a liquid, but as it reaches land it is at freezing temperature. The rain freezes almost instantly after impact, and can freeze on anything. This can make roads slippery, and cause cars to run off the road. I experienced freezing rain in Pennsylvania, and rain was frozen on all the windows.
Freezing rain is rain that freezes as it falls to the surface of the earth. I have experienced freezing rain before. It is very scary and it ruins my day.
Freezing rain occurs when the surface temperature is extremely cold but the atmospheric level is high enough that rain freezes the moment it hits a surface. If you get caught it freezing rain you could possibly freeze due to the original temperature rather then rain alone. It freezes anything so cars and other things are frozen. I've only ever seen the effects of freezing rain on my way to Michigan and I thought it was beautiful, but I've never really been through freezing rain.
Last year I for the first time experienced freezing rain. We were expecting snow but I guess it didnt get as cold as they expected. Most of it was overnight so I didnt notice it. When I woke up it was still raining ice and there was a good amount on the ground.
Freezing Rain is mainly like everyday rain, except as soon as the rain comes to contact with any surface, it will freeze rather quickly. It may not hurt someone as soon as it hits, but it can freeze the roads over, making it hard and risky to drive. I've never actually witnessed freezing rain or experienced it.
